Verizon expands 100 Gb/s routing to metro edge networks



Verizon this week said it plans to deploy 100 Gb/s Cisco CRS-300 routers in seven metro markets—a move the carrier said was driven by increased demand for video, mobile and cloud services. The markets involved include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Seattle.
